About Me

My photo
I’m a stay at home mother of two beautiful children, Zoey and Zane. I spend most of my days wiping butts and cleaning up…but what can I say I love every minute of it. I love the time I get to spend each day with my children thanks to God and my wonderful husband. This blog is about our daily happenings at the Blakley Ranch. Hope you enjoy!

M-I-C-K-E-Y...

This past weekend our friends, David and Nicole, invited us to their son Luke’s second birthday party. David and my husband, Joey, have been friends since high school. They are a great family and we had a great time celebrating with the birthday boy.

As you can see from Luke’s party hat the theme was Mickey Mouse. Even my little man got a pair of ears.

However, Zoey refused to wear her ears. She was too busy playing with her friend Caroline.

As you can see Caroline was wearing her ears. However, Zoey could not be convinced.

Nicole did a great job with the party decorations…

She MADE this cute Mickey Mouse birthday cake HERSELF…

Take a look at these M&M’s…

They have Luke’s picture on them. Is that too cute or what!
Last but not least the kids got to ride Luke’s pony, Baby.

This is the calm before the storm...

as when Zoey learned she had to take turns riding the pony a tantrum proceeded…and those picture are too graphic for public display!

Four Months...

It’s official, my little man, Zane, is four months old. He can now roll over; which, I found out when he rolled himself off the couch while I took his sister to the bathroom. Don’t judge, it happens to everyone once….Right? He loves to watch his sister when she sings into her microphone and dances to her favorite song, which at the moment is “Move It, Move It” off of Madagascar.

I can’t say that all four months of this precious baby’s life has been a walk in the park. He had a slight case of colic the first two months. Is there such a thing as a “slight” case of colic? Anyway, back to the present those days are over. Thank God!

My little man still has a problem with spitting up. However, when we have gone through five burp clothes, three pairs of clothes (that’s both he and I), and multiple bibs in a day this little boy’s smile makes it all worth it.

Pretty in Pink...

When I ask my two year old daughter, Zoey, what her favorite color is I always get the same response, “Pink is my favorite.” So when she told her Daddy she wanted a pink saddle. Dear old Dad delivered. He searched high and low and after traveling over 200 miles he made one little girl’s day.

Not only did he come home with my daughter’s first saddle but a halter, lead rope, saddle pad, pink rhinestone studded head stale and breast collar.

Zoey could not wait to ride “her horse” Shank. This is really her Dad’s horse which she has now claimed. We raised Shank on a bottle from the day he was born. So needless to say he is a little spoiled. Notice I said He. But hey what do they say… Real men wear pink.

Shank however is not so sure!

I don’t have to worry about my little girl getting lost in the woods. I can spot her a mile away!
